Cost saving programs generated $11,350,000 in savings for the client and enabled them to keep rates significantly below trend for comparable organizations in the same marketplace without sacrificing employee benefit levels.
Case Study: Change Management
Working with a multi-site healthcare organization we helped to build a culture of health, reduce costs and improve the health and productivity of the workforce through our "inside-out approach" to aligning organizational resources. By creating and aligning a governance structure among key internal/external stakeholders, aligning patient centered resources and executing a communication and incentive strategy, an increased number of employees stayed within the healthcare system. Use of a data warehouse and biometric screening contributed to identifying and improving patient management and the ability to proactively care for at risk patients through established guidelines and measured health outcomes processes resulting in earlier detection and management of health issues, keeping trend in check.
Case Study: Disease Management is Outsourced from the Medical Carrier
A community healthcare provider wanted to improve the management of certain chronic conditions and increase utilization of its facilities and generic alternatives. We worked with the client and their insurance carrier on the self-insured plan to carve out the disease management services from the plan. We then worked to gather the claims and hospital data in our data warehouse and apply the risk stratification tool to identify high risk members and an effective plan to engage high risk members. Through the warehouse, we were able to measure the change that resulted from the program-and delivering an ROI of 1.6 in the past year.
Case Study: Collaborative Care with Local Employers
Cammack LaRhette brought together two key clients - a Fortune 500 company and a health system organization to help establish a Healthcare Center at a pre-existing, freestanding physician practice. Through developing a partnership with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, a major retail pharmacy chain, and a data analytics provider, we helped created a new healthcare center delivery model that resulted in improved access and delivery of health care with increased early detection and treatment of conditions resulting in lower trend and increased workforce productiveness.
